AMC functions on a beautiful and spacious campus housing the Pre-clinical and Para-clinical departments at Montagne Blanche, and Clinical facilities at Flacq. The teaching hospital at Flacq is a multi-specialty infrastructure for Clinical training. AMC house state of the art classrooms with smart boards, modern laboratories with individual microscopes and other facilities for each student, Administrative Section with space for Dean Office and allied departments, library with more than 7500 medical books, large reading hall, e-library, Mess facility, a huge green area with car parking and seating for students.

AMC is also a cultural hub of activity as students from many different countries converge to take advantage of the exceptional faculty, holistic curriculum and innovative teaching methods. AMC draws students from India, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Singapore, Middle East, Kenya, Australia, New Zealand, United States, Canada, United Kingdom and South Africa and various SADC Countries thereby providing the student community a rich multi- cultural exposure.

How doctors think, reason, and make clinical decisions is arguably their most critical skill. In all of the varied clinical domains where medicine is practised – from the laboratory to the intensive care unit – decision making is a critical activity. In today’s medical education field, where, surprisingly this issue is not addressed with its due importance, AMC proves to be unique by ensuring that this skill is instilled in every student through numerous mentorship and other training programs.
Because of Anna Medical College’s affiliation with multiple hospitals in Mauritius, clinical experience is unique and focussed. This clinical experience creates an advantage for students as they begin their practice.

APPROVALS & ACCREDITATIONS
Anna Medical College was authorised by the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) of the Government of Mauritius effective February 08, 2012 to run the MBBS programme awarded by University of Technology, Mauritius.
